I've found an instance where, some of my hatch patterns have become corrupt. Such as the triangles in concrete not meeting, they look like random lines. ![]() It occurs only in certain drawings, and the error shows up in different versions of AutoCAD ie. 97, 2000i & R14. ![]() I hope that you noticed something in my previous blog post about fixing holes in hatches that didn’t have anything to do with that topic. In fact, this is a very common issue that plagues AutoCAD Civil 3D users. If I have multiple drawings open in 2000i, some will be fine but the problem drawings are still corrupt. I can copy and paste hatch across drawings and it looks fine, if I inherit the properties and hatch a new section, it's still corrupt. The only thing I can think of, is that there is a system vaiable that I am overlooking, does anyone else have this problem. Thanks in anticipation. Do these broken hatch patterns print broken too? Or is this just a visual problem on your screen? -- Dean Saadallah www.pendean.com -- 'Geenoir' wrote in message news:[email protected]. > I've found an instance where, some of my hatch patterns have become corrupt. This is a common problem with hatch objects that are created very distant from the current origin (0,0 point) of the drawing. You can avoid the problem by setting SNAPBASE to a point near where you want to draw the hatch pattern, then create the hatch. Afterward, you can move SNAPBASE back to 0,0 and the hatch will stay 'pretty.' You can repair existing hatches by moving SNAPBASE as above, then using the HATCHEDIT command. ___ 'Geenoir' wrote in message news:[email protected]. > I've found an instance where, some of my hatch patterns have become corrupt.
